Change Won't Come in a Moment,
But it Will Come With Intention.

Gainfy Healthcare Network Family,

Like so many of you, we are deeply distressed by recent events in the United States. The senseless deaths of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery and far too many others reflect the deeply ingrained prejudice and injustice that have existed in the United States and across the world for countless generations.

As a mission-driven company, dedicated to transforming the health ecosystem, we have a responsibility to reject all forms of prejudice and address the inequities people face every day. We owe it to our staff, our clients, our communities we serve and every human everywhere, to take a very clear stance and condemn these acts of violence, which represent a blatant disregard for basic human rights.

We must stand up for all individuals regardless of race, creed, or national origin.  

Racial inequity is not an easy topic to discuss, but we must put in the hard work if we are to drive meaningful change. Race is a significant social determinant of health, and there are long-standing disparities in access to care and health outcomes that must be tackled.

Gainfy is committed to developing intentional, lasting solutions. Last year, building upon the efforts of Women in Health IT, and the African-American and Latin Special Interest Groups, through Dream Forward Initiative we launched the Gainfy Forward Health Equity Network to accelerate diversity and inclusion to improve healthcare access and delivery, create an inclusive workforce, decrease disparities in underrepresented groups and advocate for true health equity for all. Over the next four weeks, the Forward Health Equity Network and Gainfy leadership will be working with members from all over the world to develop actionable programs and thought leadership to mitigate health disparities.

Additionally, we are developing a concept for a designated Forward Gainfy Service Day, which would unite all employees in a day of service to support positive change in healthcare throughout each of our local communities. Please stay tuned for more information, and reach out with thoughts and feedback.

We are also committed to measuring social disparities in our maturity models to help highlight and support the never-ending conscious choice we all must make every day to support a fair and healthy world in which we realize the full health potential of every human, everywhere.
